Responsive Design in 4 hours

Sat, 03/09/2013 - 13:39 -- admin

My Client Dan Parks Fencing and Landscaping of Rockingham County New Hampshire needed a responsive front page. Tight budgets and high competition in Google Adwords, landscaping and fencing keywords, required Dan to take action. Web users are coming to sites from mobile devices and the desktop. Websites need to be responsive so that the user experience is fulfilled, users need to simply click the button and make a call so that they can have instant communication.

CSS magic - Difference between span and div tags with text-align:center;

Mon, 01/07/2013 - 13:31 -- admin

I had a question regarding spans, divs and widths and text-align: center property.  Keep in mind that the difference is not between <span> and <div> specifically, but between inline and block elements. <span> defaults to being display:inline; whereas <div> defaults to being display:block;. But these can be overridden in CSS.

 The difference in the way text-align:center works between the two is down to the width.

Using RGBA to Prevent the CSS Opacity Inheritance from Parent to Child Elements

Today I worked on a CSS problem with opacity. Once opacity is set all children elements will also inherite the property. Nothing can be done about it.

The Solution is not to use the opacity property, rather use the background property with RGBA

the CSS for example :

#content {

background:rgb(255,255,255); /* the fall back */
background:rgba(255,255,255,0.9);

}
